Un Binding Agreement

In this statement, the international economy explains why it does not support the „elements of a draft legally binding instrument for transnational groups and other economic enterprises on human rights“, as they constitute a major step backwards and jeopardize the crucial consensus reached by the United Nations Guiding Principles on Economics and Human Rights (NUNGP). In 2016, the global campaign again actively participated in the debate at the second MEETING of the OEIG, allowing the participation of more than 100 activists representing trade unions, farmers` organizations, environmental organizations, youth, women, indigenous peoples, migrants and access to drug movements. They met in Geneva to participate in and observe the procedures within the United Nations. .
